- You need of sugar.
- Prepare of lemon zest/rinds.
- You need of vanilla Essence.
- Prepare of Juice of 1/2 lemon.

- You need of For plating: Chocolate sauce, vanilla Icecream and mint/fruit sliced.
Exotic Poached Pear in Chocolate Sauce step by step
- Combine water, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and zest in a saucepan.
- Add it to the stove and bring it to a boil and then let it simmer.
- Meanwhile, core and peel the the pears keeping the stems intact.
- Add them to the simmering syrup carefully.
- Cook covered for 20-25 minutes or until they are soft.
- Take off heat and place the pears in a deep dish.
- Pour the syrup over the pears covering them well.
- Let the pears cool completely and them refrigerate them covered until served.
- For plating 1 serve: add about 2 tablespoon (or more) of chocolate sauce in a plate.
- Place a pear over it and add vanilla Icecream as well.
- Garnish with mint or a sliced berry if desired.
- Serve right away. Enjoy.
